Sign in with your Google account at sheets.google.com.
To open your Google Drive, search on Google for “google drive” and click the link.
Otherwise, On the Google page top of the corner has an icon for Google apps. Click on it, and you will see the Google Drive icon. By clicking on it, you can open your drive. You must be the first to log in with your mail account.
After going to your drive, you will find the My Drive option with a drop-down icon. Click the icon and select the File Upload option.
You can also upload the file by selecting the + New button in the top left corner.
An additional window will open. Select your File and click the open button.
The right-hand corner of your screen shows a message starting your file upload.
When the file upload is complete, this shows a green sign.
By clicking on the file icon, you can see the file location.
Here we can see the file location on Google Drive.
Click the File and select Open with the option to open the excel file with Google Sheets.
At this point, you can start working with the File because it has been uploaded to Google Sheets.
2. Replace an Excel File with a Google Sheet
If you have an Excel file that you want to use in Google Sheets, you can import it by following these steps:
First, open up your Google Drive account and click the + New button in the top-left corner of the screen to create a blank spreadsheet.
Open the sheets, and click on File> Import.
Here, click on the upload option. Two ways. You can upload your excel file.
- Can you drag a file here or
- Select a file from your device.
Then show a message that replaces your excel file with a Google spreadsheet. Click on the Import button.
Here is your excel file. Import and replace it with Google Sheets.
